The Bruschetta, from which this product takes its name, was no more than a traditional, peasant recipe to use up the bread left over from the day before. The crusty, stale bread was sliced, then toasted over an open fire and seasoned with according to one's tastes. Our bruschettine, smaller in size but equally delicious, are made in the very same way; baked twice in the ovens, coated with olive oil and then seasoned with salt and spices. Delicious and nutritional on their own as a snack between meals, your creative genius for toppings can also make them enviable appetizers and the perfect accompaniment to an array of cocktails and aperitifs.
